Grand Prairie, Texas
Residing on more than 300 acres, the MFC location in Grand Prairie, Texas (a suburb of Dallas) has been a pioneer in the field of versatile, high-performance defense technology and an important contributor to the nation's space efforts. Located in the middle of the DFW area, it offers easy access to walkable urban Dallas neighborhoods as well as to the historic, quintessentially Texas city of Fort Worth.
Orlando, Florida
The Orlando, Florida facility innovates major capabilities such as advanced combat, missile, rocket, and manned and unmanned systems. Over 4,000 employees report to the 260-acre site, which features an Innovation Center as well as two Research and Development facilities. From the urban flair in downtown to the area's extensive regional park system, Orlando really does live up to its nickname, "The City Beautiful."
Troy, Alabama
Our facility in Troy, Alabama is home for many of the missile programs including Javelin, the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile, the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) and air-to-ground missiles. The site sits on 4,000 acres of land with 52 buildings and employes over 600 people who the support final assembly of MFC missiles.
Camden, Arkansas
Established in 1978, the MFC Camden operations facility is Lockheed Martin’s Precision Fires operations center of excellence and the center of our fire solutions operations. The facility occupies a combined manufacturing and support function floor space exceeding 1.9 million square feet and is spread out over more than 2,000 acres of land. More than 1,000 employees work in the manufacturing and support buildings on the site.
Santa Barbara, California
In California, dreams become reality, ideas flow like water, and innovative approaches are not only encouraged, but expected. As Lockheed Martin’s infrared (IR) center of excellence, the Santa Barbara Focalplane location designs and produces industry-leading sensors that guide the world’s most advanced platforms including satellites.
Ocala, Florida
Our Ocala operations facility is a 393,000-square-foot system assembly and high-rate production site. As one of the largest employers in Marion County, 950 employees manufacture and assemble numerous Lockheed Martin products, including sensors for aircraft fire control systems, missile and vehicle electronic and cabling assemblies, and missile seeker and guidance sections.

The Optical Components Center
Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) develops and produces electro-optic and smart munitions systems. MFC is a pioneer in the field of high-performance missile, missile defense, ground vehicle and rocket technology. From ultra-precision machining and additive manufacturing to the development and production of complex optical components and sophisticated electronic systems, the Optical Components Center does it all. Lockheed Martin MFC utilizes the latest capabilities in manufacturing to produce some of the world’s most advanced weapon and sensor technology.
Computer Numerical Control fabrication, diamond turning, magnetorheological finishing, broad-spectrum film coating and metrology are used to produce intricately designed optical components for high performance and durability. With its efficient production line and advanced capability, the Optical Components Center in Orlando, Florida develops and produces some of the world’s most complex lenses, windows, mirrors, filters, electromagnetic interface gridding and multi-spectral coatings.
SOF GLSS
The SOF GLSS contract is U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services. The Program Executive Office of the Special Operations Forces Support Activity (PEO SOFSA) oversees the contract; and, under its direction, Lockheed Martin conducts its day-to-day operations, providing the full range of logistics services required to support the SOF community.
From design to disposal, we execute sustainment and life cycle management:
- Global supply chain of parts, warehouses and depots;
- Aircraft, vehicle and equipment repair, maintenance and modifications; and
- Critical infrastructure support and business process transformation.
We provide services to agencies that support SOCOM missions worldwide.
